Design Alliance History
Design Alliance was originally formed in 1979 when four creative talents, all working for an international advertising agency, discovered their mutual first love was everything having to do with creating a home. Design Alliance purchased, renovated and re-sold more than 40 homes, in Houston, Texas, primarily in the areas of Southhampton and River Oaks.
Two years later, Peggy Pepper became principal owner of Design Alliance, choosing to expand the company’s scope into both residential and commerical design. To date, projects have been completed in New York, Palm Beach, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Scotsdale, Aspen and Telluride, Colorado. Design Alliance continues to serve clients with a broad range of innovative, creative services and lifestyle solutions.
Clients have benefitted from the resulting combination of aesthetic ambiance and easy sophistication which are a signature of every Design Alliance home. Ninety percent of re-sales occurred within one week of being placed on the market, often at full price…. or higher.
Meet Peggy
Creativity has always played a major role in every aspect of my life. With a degree in Business Communications, an award-winning background in advertising, marketing and design and as an ordained minister, I bring a rare combination of depth, breadth, education, experience, intuitve talent and compassion to every project. Practical experience in the world of home renovation, plus developing new design concepts with commercial clients in hotel, spa, medical and restaurant spaces, adds another dimension of valuable expertise, benefitting clients who are looking for both beautiful and functional results.
As an insatiable student of design, I continue to hone my skills and education in many aspects of the design world. This allows me to create and curate ideas and products that are not only on current trend but also effectively express my clients needs, depending on the specifics of their lifestyle.
It is an honor to be of service.....enhancing lives in a beautiful way.
Design Philosophy
The day of the snobby interior designer is history. People are so overwhelmed with choices that they are simply looking for a down-to-earth, aesthetic advocate who will help them interpret and curate every issue of taste and lifestyle that is important to them. Today’s designer must have talent, creativity and resourcefulness to work with clients in a way that fits their unique lives and pull together a look that is individualized for them.
